Itinerary:-Vaishno Devi Kashmir Family Vacation

Day 1 - Jammu–Katra (50 Kms / 02 Hrs);

Arrival at Jammu Airport / Railway station transfer to Katra check-in hotel night stay Jammu & Kashmir is lovingly called the Heaven on Earth. The land of Jammu and Kashmir is blessed with exquisite natural beauty. With the snow clad mountaintops, exotic orchards, lush green pastures, alpine forests and many more, the divine and delightful land of Jammu & Kashmir is a boon to the worldwide nature lovers.;

Day 2 - Mata Vaishno Devi Darshan;

After breakfast proceed to Mata Vaishno Devi Darshan by track evening return back to hotel night stay. The shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is one of the most visited pilgrim sites in India. Situated at a height of 5,300 ft., the site is located inside a cave in a hill. Amidst the folds of the Trikuta Bhagwati hill at a height of 5,300 ft., in the state of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) this cave temple is at a distance of 61 kms from Jammu and the last 13 kms of the way have to be negotiated on foot by the yatris, as the devotees are called. Once at the entrance to the cave, the path turns into a narrow tunnel with a cold stream named the Charan Ganga running through it. The pilgrim has to wade through this to reach the sanctum sanctorum. The holy cave shrine of Vaishno Devi is nestled in a beautiful recess of the Trikuta Mountains forming a part of the lower Himalayas. It is located 61 km north of Jammu at a height of 5,200 feet above the sea level in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. In the cave there are images of three deities’ viz. the Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati.;

Day 3 - Katra– Shiv Khori (80 Kms / 03 Hrs);

After breakfast drive to Shiv Khori for day excursion Baba Agar Jito, Nav Devi Temple, Dera baba, Sula Park, Chenab River rafting point, Sehar Baba Water Fall evening return back to Katra Shiv Khori is one of them located in Ransoo a village in the Pouni block in Reasi district, which attracts lakhs of devotees annually. Shiv Khori is situated in between the hillocks about 140 km north of Jammu, 120 km from Udhampur and 80 km from Katra. Buses and light vehicles go up to Ransoo, the base camp of pilgrimage. People have to traverse about 3 km on foot on a track recently constructed by the Shiv Khori Shrine Board, Ransoo duly headed by the District Development Commissioner, Udhampur as chairman and Sub Divisional Magistrate, Reasi as Member Secretary.;

Day 4 - Katra – Pahalgam (250 kms / 10 Hrs);

After breakfast Check out from Hotel transfer to Pahalgam en route you will have a rare opportunity to visit the Saffron fields. Also visit Avantipura Ruins & Anantnag Sulpher Springs. On arrival Check-in at Hotel You can enjoy leisurely walks through the pine forest along the river Lidder River. Night Stay at Pahalgam is not a mere hill-station. It’s a recreation resort. It’s like going into the lap of nature to do many things - one of the best - that "do-nothing". You want to have a romantic trip with your beloved, want to get together with you family, and have what they call a 'quality' family time, you want to do those little interesting things with the family and kids, like take a pony ride, just picnic next to a beautiful river, just lie down under the sun next to your 'hut' with fresh breeze blowing, and read a book, or have a game of cards.;

Day 5 - Pahalgam–Srinagar (310 Kms / 10 Hrs);

After Breakfast check out from hotel Visit Pahalgam sightseeing visit Chandan Wari, Aru Valley, Baisaran Valley and Betab Valley (at your own cost) drive to Srinagar, in route you can visit Martand Sun Temple On arrival at Srinagar from Pahalgam by road, meeting and assistance by Dharika Tourism representative at Hotel Check-in at Hotel Settle in your Hotel over a hot cup of Kahwa - a saffron enriched and almond supplemented drink to set your mood evening transfer to Srinagar Check in hotel Night stay at Hotel ;

Day 6 - Srinagar – Sonmarg ( 98 kms / 03 Hrs );

After breakfasts at Houseboat Check-out from Houseboat and Check-in at Hotel than drive through the local villages and Hills to reach the place called Sonmarg also known as “Meadows of Gold” Enjoy horse riding or local sightseeing (At your own cost). Return back to Srinagar and stay at Houseboat. Sonmarg, at an altitude of 3,000 meters above sea level, 87 km north-east of Srinagar The drive to Sonmarg is though yet another spectacular facet of country side in Kashmir, this time in Sindh Valley. The Sindh Valley is the largest tributary of the valley of Kashmir. It is upwards of sixty miles long, and valley and deep rock-girt gorge to open grassy meadow land and Village-dotted slopes;

Day 7 - Srinagar – Doodhpathri (45 Kms /2 Hrs);

After Breakfast proceeds to Doodhpathri you can enjoy the beautiful place. Evening return back to Srinagar Night Stay at Hotel Doodhpathri (translation; Valley of Milk) is a tourist destination and a hill station in the Indian administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is located in khan sahib area of Budgam district. Situated at an altitude of 2,730 metres (8,960 ft) from sea level, it is located at a distance of 42 km (26 mi) from union territory's summer capital Srinagar and 22 km (14 mi) from district headquarters Budgam;

Day 8 - Srinagar – Gulmarg (52 kms / 02 Hrs);

After breakfast Proceed to Gulmarg in Gulmarg you can enjoy Gondola ride to the high slopes (at your own cost) you can also enjoy the snow caped field view Evening back to Srinagar Night Stay at Srinagar Gulmarg is at an altitude of 8,500 ft and 51km west of Srinagar. It rests in a small valley with a backdrop of the lofty Pir Panjal range of the Himalaya Mountains. As the area is under snow for 6 months of the year it is popular as a skiing area. It also has one of the best natural golf courses in the world. Pony trekking is available, as are plenty of walks for bird watchers in the meadows of alpine flowers. The Highland Park Hotel is on the western side. There are magnificent views of Nanga Parbat, ranked 9th highest mountain in the world.;
